Health Insurance Advisor
Duke Odom is our resident health insurance advisor. He is an accomplished Operations Leader, Executive, and Problem Solver. Duke is from Atlanta Georgia and received his undergraduate degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Purdue University. Duke completed a distinguished military career as an Air Force aviator with over 3000 hours flown in fighter aircraft and over 200 combat missions supporting both Operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. During his tenure, he was the CEO and commanded a squadron of over 300 military members and served as Chief of Staff to a General Officer supporting over 15,000 Active Duty Airmen and their families. Duke holds two masters degrees, one from the University of Phoenix and the other from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Upon transition from the military, Duke was a General Manager at a private Defense contracting company where he was responsible for the resourcing, budgeting and execution of a highly complex 220 million dollar Department of Defense Airship program. As a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Duke developed his own start-up consulting company as CEO with a focus on process improvement and profit maximization. The make-up of his consulting portfolio includes financial services, aerospace and defense, real estate and pharmaceutical companies. Upon completion of the Wharton School, Duke served as an Executive Director at Chase Bank, where he led geographically separated teams in the U.S. and Ireland to deliver process improvements to disparate areas of the Corporate and Investment Bank to include Fund Accounting, Trade Management, Asset Servicing and Fund of Hedge Funds. In the real estate space, he managed a team of up to 130 staff and a portfolio with over 20 Real Estate clients, to include two of the five largest U.S. banks. His consulting practice consisted of multiple clients to include Nike and was also responsible for performing due diligence and mitigating risk on behalf of banks, mortgage servicers, and investors nationwide. He now leads a health insurance agency that is charged with helping individuals, families, and small businesses navigate the seemingly complex arena of healthcare and small business benefits. Duke has served on the executive board and as an advisor to the Co-Founder of Give to the World, a non-profit fund raising organization that provides much needed medical and other supplies to civilians affected by conflict worldwide. Duke is also a member of the Military Officer’s Association of America. Throughout his career Duke, regardless of the industry, has a proven track record of focused leadership, management, and exceptional results. Duke has a nationwide health insurance customer base and resides in Dallas, TX.
